Konnect for Discord

1. Open the install link. You need Manage Server on the server you are adding it to — that is Discord's rule, and Discord enforces it before we see anything.

2. Pick your server from Discord's dropdown and confirm.

3. Read what it asks for. One thing: permission to add slash commands. No message permissions, no role permissions, no access to your member list. Konnect does not join as a bot member.

4. The commands appear for everyone in the server, usually straight away. Discord caches the list, so if they are missing give it a few minutes and restart your client.

5. Try /leaderboard first. It is the one that shows real Konnect data in the channel, so you can see what you have added in one command.

Konnect installs with the applications.commands scope and no permission bits at all. In practice that means:

It can receive the command someone runs and the arguments they typed, and reply to that command.

It cannot read your channels, see your message history, post without being asked, touch roles, or list your members.

That is the smallest install Discord offers, and it is the honest one for what Konnect currently does. If a future feature needs more, it will ask for it separately and this page will say so.

• This is a window on all of Konnect, not a filter on your server. You will see events for games your members do not play.
• Five at a time, and not yet sorted by date — treat it as a sample of what is on, not a schedule.
• If nothing is open it says so. It never pads the list.

/leaderboard [game] [share]

Game leaderboards on Konnect

With no game: the overall Top 5 by rank points, plus a dropdown of every game board that is open. Pick a game and the message becomes that game's season standings — rank, points, win-loss, straight out of Konnect.

Worth knowing

• The strongest command here, and the only one that answers a question without sending you somewhere else.
• Set share to True and it posts into the channel for everyone. A shared post drops the dropdown, so nobody can rewrite the message the rest of the channel is reading.
• Boards only exist for games Konnect has actually hosted. Ask for one it has not and you get a plain "no board yet" plus the list of boards that are live — never an empty table dressed up as a ranking.
• Players who have not played enough sets yet are shown and marked as placing, not hidden.
• Boards end with a pointer to the Konnect Discord, because the per-game roles they mention only exist there.

/checkin

Check in to your Konnect tournament

Checks you in to a Konnect tournament you're registered for, right from Discord — the same check-in, same rules, same deadline as the app. One event open: one confirm button. Several: pick which one you're at.

No arguments — just run it.

Worth knowing

• Your Discord has to be linked to your Konnect account. If it isn't, the command hands you the link to do it once — after that it's one tap every week.
• Everything about it is private to you. Nobody in the channel sees whether you're registered, checked in, or late.
• It follows exactly the app's rules: if check-in has closed, it has closed here too — the command tells you and points you at the organizer.

/register

Register for a Konnect tournament

Lists the open solo events you can still join, and registers you in one tap — the same rules and guards as the app. Team events are set up in the app, where you pick your squad.

No arguments — just run it.

/report <your_score> <their_score>

Report your match result on Konnect

Anyone in the server Only you see the reply

Reports the result of your current match — enter your score and your opponent's, and Konnect figures out which match and who won. Your opponent confirms or disputes from their side, exactly like the app.

• Needs your Discord linked to your Konnect account once, like /checkin.
• It reports your one live match. If you somehow have two at once, it sends you to the app so the right one is recorded.
• A result locks in only when your opponent confirms it. If your reports disagree, it goes to an admin and nothing advances on a conflict.

/rank

Your rank and season standings on Konnect

Shows where you stand on Konnect — your total rank points and tier, plus your rank on each game's board this season, with wins and losses. Read straight from your ranked results.

No arguments — just run it.

• Your Discord has to be linked to your Konnect account. If it is not, the command hands you the link to do it once.

• Points come from ranked tournament sets, and seasons are calendar months: a new month opens your game boards fresh while your overall points carry.

Your Konnect record — wins, win rate and streak

Prints your Konnect record in the channel — rank points, total wins and losses, win rate, current streak and your main game. The numbers /profile only links out to.

Lists your head-to-head rivalries from duels — who you have played most, the all-time score against each, and the last game you ran. Glory-only: bragging rights and the head-to-head, nothing else.

• It is a launcher: it hands you a link and opens the full profile page in the app.

/duel [opponent]

Challenge a player and settle it on Konnect

Posts a challenge card and a link to create the duel on Konnect. Duels are glory-only — the head-to-head and the record, nothing else on the line.

Worth knowing

• The name renders as a chip and does not ping anyone. Konnect never mentions a member on your behalf.
• The duel is created on Konnect, not in Discord. Leave the opponent blank and the card still works as a link.

/roles

Get your game + notification roles

Points you at the Konnect Discord, where the per-game and notification roles live.

No arguments — just run it.

Worth knowing

• It cannot create or assign roles in your server. Konnect is not a member of it and holds no role permission.
• Run it on the Konnect Discord and you get the actual role buttons. In your server it is a signpost, and the reply says so rather than failing quietly.

/connect

Server admins only Only you see the reply

Registers your server with Konnect and hands back a link carrying a referral code, so members who sign up through it are attributed to your server.

Konnect checks for Manage Server or Administrator and refuses anyone else.

No arguments — just run it.

Worth knowing

• It starts no posting. Connecting is a bookkeeping step: it records the server and mints the link. Nothing arrives in your channels as a result, then or later.
• The link is an attribution link, not a hub. It does not list your server's tournaments, members or games — it sends visitors to Konnect tagged as coming from you.
• That page is public and Konnect lists it in its sitemap, so search engines can find it. If you would rather it did not exist, skip this command.
• Discord shows this command to everyone in your member list. Konnect is what refuses it, so a member without Manage Server finds out by running it.

Konnect only speaks when spoken to. It is not a member of your server, so everything above happens because a person typed a command — nothing arrives on its own.

That is the shape of the install, not a setting. Today Konnect does not:

• post brackets, results or check-in reminders into your channels
• announce when registration opens or a match goes live
• create Discord scheduled events for tournaments
• create, assign or sync roles in your server
• message your members directly
• narrow /tournaments to your server's own events

None of that is switched off somewhere — it is not built for a server that adds Konnect from this page. When it is, it will need a second install that asks for the permission to do it, and you will be the one granting it.

Worth being blunt about one thing: running /connect does not turn any of this on. It registers your server and gives you a link. It is not a switch.

Can Konnect read our messages?

No. It asks for no message permissions and never joins as a member, so it has no access to your channels. What it sees is the command someone runs and the arguments typed with it.

Do our members need a Konnect account?

Only for the personal ones. /tournaments and /leaderboard read public Konnect data and work for anyone. The commands that read or change your own record — /rank, /stats, /rivals, /teams, /bracket, /register, /report and /checkin — need your Discord linked to your Konnect account once. /profile and /duel just hand you a link.

Will it post in our channels uninvited?

No. /tournaments, /duel and /leaderboard with share set to True post where they are run, because that is what the person running them asked for. Everything else replies privately to whoever typed it.

Can we restrict who uses it, or which channels?

Yes, through Discord rather than through us. Server Settings, then Integrations, then Konnect: you can disable individual commands, limit them to roles, and restrict them to channels. All of that works on a commands-only install.

Why does /tournaments show games we do not play?

Because it lists what is open across Konnect, not what is open in your server. Per-server filtering is not built yet.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Konnect is free and glory-only: you play for the result, and the result follows you. There is no tier to buy and nothing to unlock.

How do we remove it?

Server Settings, then Integrations, then Konnect, then Remove App. The commands disappear immediately and nothing is left behind in your server. If someone ran /connect, email support and we will take the server's public page down too.

The commands are not showing up.

Give it a few minutes and restart your Discord client, which caches the command list. If they are still missing, check under Server Settings and Integrations that they have not been disabled for your role or channel.
